(a) Driver's Record. Motor carriers shall require each driver and each codriver to keep a driver's record pursuant to Section 1213. Motor carriers shall keep the original copies of all drivers' records with any supporting documents, as defined in Section 1201(y), for 6 months.
Effective January 1, 2019, there will be a federal criminal history background check fee increase from $12.00 to $13.25 for each Public Service Endorsement applicant.
This fee will be in addition to the $75.00 fee for the State criminal background check for each Public Service Endorsement applicant.
Please follow the steps below to apply for a Public Passenger Endorsement.
STEP 1: Determine you are eligible.

- Must be subject to medical review and meet the physical requirements outlined on the medical examination form as required per 49 CFR 391.41-391.49.
